Chamonix – Zermatt…
The most famous ski touring route in the world
This classic ski touring route was pioneered in 1903 by members of the Compagnie des guides de Chamonix. It connects the two world capitals of mountaineering over 95 km passing from one mountain gite to another, relishing the breathtaking scenery whilst skiing the pristine snow. During the summer, this route requires ropes, crampons, and an ice axe. The marvel stays unchanged, but caution is paramount.
